Because beta-cypermethrin is a purer crystalline solid, it also formulates more predictably into WP and WG formats than standard cypermethrin, which tends to be a viscous liquid or semi-solid depending on isomer ratio and season.

Cypermethrin is not renewed in the EU as an agricultural active but remains widely registered as a biocidal active for public health and structural pest control, and it is fully registered for agricultural use in Turkey, the Gulf, North Africa, South Asia, Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. For standard cypermethrin, the specification that matters is the cis:trans ratio — ask for it explicitly, and ask for the range across the last five batches. A supplier quoting "cypermethrin 95%" without stating the isomer ratio is quoting an incomplete product. For beta-cypermethrin, ask for the diastereomer split and the melting point range; a genuine enriched product melts sharply between 64 and 71 °C, while under-enriched material melts broadly or stays tacky.
