Mancozeb Technical Grade: 2026 Buyer's Guide to Purity, Formulations and Ex-China Pricing

TL;DR — Buyer's guide to mancozeb technical grade in 2026 — 85% vs 90% purity, WP, WG and SC formulation fit, EU status, and ex-China FOB pricing for Turkey and MENA distributors.
Mancozeb is the workhorse multi-site fungicide of global row-crop and horticulture agriculture — a zinc/manganese ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate that has protected potato, grape, tomato and cereal crops for six decades without meaningful resistance development. Since the 2020 EU non-renewal, the market has bifurcated: the EU is out, but Turkey, the Gulf, North Africa, South Asia and Latin America continue to run mancozeb as a foundation fungicide, and Chinese production capacity has stepped in to serve that demand. This is a buyer's guide for distributors and formulators sourcing mancozeb technical grade in 2026.
Purity grades. Chinese mancozeb technical is offered at 85% and 90% minimum active. The 90% grade is preferred for WG 75% and WG 80% formulations where the extra headroom simplifies the formulation math and produces a cleaner granule; 85% is the volume grade for WP 75% and WP 80% formulations. For any registered product in Turkey (KKDIK-aligned) or the Gulf, 90% is the safer starting point — the MRL performance on cucurbits and grapes in particular is more forgiving.
Manganese and zinc content matters. Mancozeb is a coordination polymer of manganese and zinc ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate; the pharmacopoeial specification requires 20% minimum manganese and 2.5% minimum zinc on a dry basis. Suppliers cutting corners on zinc reagent produce material that assays fine for active but under-performs in the field on downy mildews and late blight. Ask for the manganese and zinc split on the five-batch analysis, not just the total active.
Formulation fit. Mancozeb TC feeds three dominant formulations. WP 80% is the low-cost, high-volume workhorse for potato and grape programmes across MENA and South Asia. WG 75% and WG 80% are the tank-friendly, low-dust granules that professional distributors and drip-irrigation programmes increasingly demand. SC 420 g/L and 500 g/L are the premium liquid formulations that command a 20–30% pricing premium and are gaining share on higher-value horticulture. Both WG and SC formulations amplify TC quality; a 90% TC with correct Mn/Zn ratio flows cleanly through both, while a borderline 85% TC with wandering metal content produces granulation and suspensibility problems downstream.
2026 price basis. Q2–Q3 2026 ex-China FOB pricing for mancozeb 90% TC sits at USD 3.2–3.6/kg, with 85% TC at USD 2.8–3.1/kg. Prices have firmed roughly 5–8% year-on-year on manganese feedstock cost, but this remains the cheapest per-kilo fungicide in most portfolios. CIF Istanbul or Mersin adds USD 0.35–0.55/kg on FCL volumes. Formulation-grade 80% WP CIF Turkey trades at USD 4.2–4.8/kg depending on packaging.
Order sizing and packaging. Mancozeb ships in 25 kg woven polypropylene bags or 500 kg / 1000 kg jumbo bags; a 20 FCL loads 24–26 MT in 25 kg format or 22 MT in jumbo. MOQ for direct-from-plant pricing is 5 MT; break-points at 10 MT (half FCL), 22 MT (1 FCL) and 40 FCL annual programmes. Because per-kilo pricing is low, freight and packaging economics matter more than on a premium molecule — jumbo bags save USD 0.10–0.15/kg on FOB but limit downstream repackaging flexibility.
Regulatory posture. Mancozeb is not renewed in the EU (last national permits expired in 2022) but is fully registered and actively used in Turkey, the Gulf, North Africa, South Asia, Latin America and much of sub-Saharan Africa. Codex MRLs remain in place for the major crops, and EU import tolerances continue for produce grown outside the EU — meaning Turkish grape and pomegranate exporters can and do continue to use mancozeb, provided they respect harvest intervals and EU import tolerances. Any supplier who is not fluent in that distinction is a supplier who will get your registration in trouble.
WECON's mancozeb supply. We ship mancozeb 90% and 85% TC and matched WP 80% / WG 75% formulations from an MEE-permitted Chinese manufacturer, backed by five-batch analysis (including Mn/Zn split), Turkish and Arabic MSDS, and jumbo-bag or 25 kg bag options depending on your downstream flow. Share your annual volume, formulation format and destination port and we will return a comparison quote within 24 hours.
